As Republican Sen. Ted Cruz continues with his not-a-filibuster to defund Obamacare—or as some might describe it, the self-polishing of his conservative halo ahead of 2016—the inevitable has begun: Whining that the media is either
ignoring junior's really long speech about green eggs, Star Wars and Ashton Kutcher, or not giving it the respect it deserves.
The National Journal calls it The Ted Cruz Media Blackout. Over at Politico, Dylan Byars says we should "forgive conservatives for being upset with the mainstream media's coverage of the Cruz affair," while the right-wing twitterverse swoons.
The reality? It's been covered on every major news channel and in every major newspaper in the country. Granted, the coverage of Cruz's blabathon isn't universally positive ... but that's what happens when you stage a filibuster that isn't.
