How about a not deep diary on tweeks, etc. you'd suggest for the Doctor Who universe?
For one, I recently saw an episode (I haven't seen a number of the 21st Century produced ones yet) called the Doctor's Daughter, where David Tennant's Doctor gets an iinstant grown-up, military trained, and perky, daughter via cloning. At the end he thinks she's dead and leaves but then she "gets better". More below for those wanting a brief respite from the Chris Christie slow-mo meltdown.
Jenny (does she know her last name :) ) steals (or "borrows") a spacecraft and goes off to explore the universe, save civilizations, and do lots of running Now where did she get those tendencies from? Seems like an ideal spinoff candidate, more so then the Torchwood series (although I've only seen 1-2 of that spinoff, which according to Wikipedia is quite popular). Even if the acress portraying Jenny wasn't interested, why not get a rather athletic, attractive blond actress for the role, the seeries could cleverly be called something like "The Doctor's Daughter"---duh! One interesting aspect is that you could have Tennent do an occasional guest appearance, pleasing some of his fans and not tying him down to another series. Does Jenny get her own Tardis? Are there any father/daughter angst issues? Do daleks or the Master find out about her and try to use her against the Doctor (and if so, which one? Hey, this is getting a bit confusing.
Any other ideas for plots, other spinoffs?
Fun fact: In real life, who's daughter is Jenny? (Sorry about that).
