Mitch McConnell's weak position in Kentucky—i.e. the bit where his state
does not like him very much—has been attracting national attention.
It's about to attract more.
Former President Bill Clinton — known as the “Big Dog” — will come to Louisville this month for a campaign event for [Alison Lundergan Grimes], who is running for the U.S. Senate and trying to topple Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
“We are very excited to have President Clinton coming into town to make his first campaign stop of this election cycle,” Grimes said in an interview Friday.
“I was elated when he called and said he wanted to make this race his top priority,” she said.
The first stop will be on February 25th. Kentucky senator Rand Paul, himself is no McConnell fan, has been
strangely obsessed with Clinton of late; Kentuckians may all need earplugs to survive the McConnell-Paul whines on this one.
