DK Quilt Guild: A place for quilters to gather, share ideas, projects, and to make the world a better place, one quilt at a time. Join us and share your thoughts, projects, questions, and tips. Quilters here are at many different levels of skill. Beginners and non-quilters are welcome, too!
Please join us below the tangled bobbin for fine examples of Protest Quilts.
Many quilts are beautiful works of art. Some are very cozy well loved blankets. Others are memorials for our loved ones or a special event. Today, I would like to share quilts that have very poignant, and even provocative themes. I would call them Protest Quilts, because they're giving the viewer very serious themes well beyond the viewer's comfort zone. My apologies; I don't have titles nor artists for some quilts. All photos are mine from various quilt shows.
