Standard disclaimer: Leave your loathing of meta, World of Warcraft, or community diaries outside. If you think we should be playing your MMO instead, start a guild and write a recruitment diary. Don't leave a comment here and then get all hurtful when it isn't received with flowers and candy. This goes double for people coming in to attack guildies over other diaries or comments - STAY OUT! Link to your recruitment diary is OK though. |
Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. We're getting close to the membership cap, so we'll have to put you on a waiting list if you want to join. To get on the list, read this diary and visit the Guild web site. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome. |
More below the fold:
This week I wanted to pass along the news that we're getting full again. Back in the dim and misty beginnings of the guild, the membership limit was 200 characters, which we quickly reached.
The membership limit, or "cap", has been raised since, with the current limit at one thousand characters. And we're fast approaching it.
So this is to let you all know that we're going to have to set up a waiting list, and people wanting to join the Wreck List from both Daily Kos and the World in general, are going to have to go on it.
Just figured I should let you know.
On that note, here are the raid reports, starting with the Team Z report from Tvath:
to me
One would think with a title like Spoils of Pandaria that the fight would yield more than the normal amount of loot! Alas, this was not to be. However, we did in fact succeed in defeating the boxes of mantid and mogu! Big thanks to Corwynn for coming along (Nztorg had tickets to see The National). It was a Night of Silly Pulls; one highlight was the moment when three of us started the fight on the wrong side!
My own moment of triumph came before we started, when Bipolarbear tried to challenge me to a pet-battle duel but challenged me to a regular duel by mistake. I was sitting on my mount rather oblivious to the fact that he was attacking me, then finally jumped off and defeated him soundly. It is very petty of me to feel triumphant about defeating my teammate. Very. Pbbbt. (His pets destroyed me, so there's that.)
Next up was Thok, and we put in some good effort in getting the mechanics down and figuring out where to stand and when. I expect we'll kill the big dino next time! However, next week is a farm week for us.

Next is the Team RubiPam and Flexorama report from Pamena:
Team RP:
Nothing much to report - we didn't do a run at all on Thursday because so many people were out. Monday, we had a change in Paladin threat on Garrosh ( Word of Glory and Eternal Flame no longer create threat on phases 2 and 3 of that fight) that we found difficult to adjust to, until after we wiped a few times because of it. It was Lynera's first time back since being in the hospital, and Corwynn's first time back since his 3 week sojourn abroad, and we're so happy to have them back! Alas, despite Carune's generous assistance, we kind of backslid from last week, only making it to the 3rd phase once or twice. Tonight I think we'll have our whole regular team together for the first time in a month, and we'll see how it goes - Team Kaels generously took Pamena on a regular run from Nazgrim to Thok, and I now have the 2-piece tier bonus on her, so perhaps I will continue to improve tonight. We can but try.
Flexorama:
Nina was not feeling up to running the flexorama Tuesday night, so Senta organized it, and it went extremely well, with Thanael and Taklok tanking, and Carune and Hyunkel and Joravic bringing the BIG dps guns. We oneshot every boss in the 2nd wing, got done in an hour, and much loots and fun were had by all. We hope Nina will be back as generalissimo next week, but if not, this is such an institution now, several people are willing and able to organize. Big fun!

And finally the Team Kaels report from Ninotchka:
As Pamena said, I wasn't up to running the flexorama on Tuesday night, so Team Kaels had a farming run this week. Last week we had a very productive week, however. We had been having problems with Immerseus heroic, and we had a few nights where we attempted Galakras heroic and it just didn't gel. But last week, we buckled down and re-did those fights, and everything came together cleanly and we got some kills under our belts. Looking forward to a week where the absenteeism bug doesn't bit us, sometime, and we can progress again. |
And that's what I have this week. For the Horde!
