And it's not even a real gorilla hand.
You know, the Koch brothers might not be treated like cartoon villains if they didn't
effin' act like cartoon villains.
The Columbus, Ohio Zoo never expected such a formidable opponent.
Yet a proposal for a modest tax increase to fund the zoo’s programs has attracted the attention of Americans for Prosperity, a national group funded by conservative billionaires Charles and David Koch. In the weeks leading up to Tuesday’s vote, residents received AFP mailers that warned of a "money grab" and a 105 percent levy on property taxes that hurts the elderly and disabled.
Yes, the Kochs' AFP is fighting Tuesday's levy vote at one of the country's leading zoos, because apparently all those damned animals are just moochers. Oh, and "There is no issue we won’t get involved in if you’re going to raise taxes,"
says Ohio AFP state director Eli Miller.
Actually, it's AFP, so what that really means is that there is no issue too small that they won't lie about. Their mailer says property taxes will go up 105 percent if the levy is approved. What the flier doesn't say is that only the already existing zoo levy portion of property taxes will increase. Not the whole tax bill.
How low won't the Koch brothers go?
