RNC Chair Reince Priebus
The Republican National Committee is doing its damnedest to turn problems at the Department of Veterans Affairs into a partisan attack on President Obama, despite Senate Republicans recently having blocked a veterans' healthcare bill. The RNC is
launching a robocall saying:
Our Veterans have served our country and protected our freedom at home and abroad. Now we're learning that this Administration's Department of Veterans' Affairs is failing our veterans. They are being denied the care they deserved and the Department is covering it up. So why won't the President launch an independent investigation to get to the bottom of this?
Oh, Republicans want to get to the bottom of why veterans are being denied the care they deserve, do they? Maybe they should take a look at themselves, being as Senate Republicans
blocked a veterans' healthcare bill just a few months ago.
Republicans start wars that load up the VA system with millions of new veterans, many of them with serious injuries and traumas, stretching the system to its limits. Then they filibuster a bill to improve care and create new medical facilities. Then they howl about how awful it is that President Obama is standing in the way of veterans getting the best possible care. RNC Chair Reince Priebus says "Vets deserve better. And they deserve accountability." How about some accountability from Reince's own party?
