One plus one equals "Bang! Bang!" as Duck and Cover enters the 21st Century...that was the initial working title. It was a tad long.
"Duck and Cover" was a familiar phrase to students in the 1950s (and later), particularly during the Cold War when nuclear tensions were at their highest. And now, it's come to the twenty-first century.
The increase in school shootings and the lack of any official government response to address the myriad of issues that play into it has resulted in action by others, resulting in products designed to help increase the level of safety of potential victims as well as increase the potential time they could remain outside of a shooter's sights.
In the meantime, Congress - specifically Congressional Republicans - explicitly act to stall, undermine, sabotage and thwart any efforts to build, reinforce or extend our social safety net, while savagely gutting any attempts to seek intelligent new or revised regulation on firearms.
The nature of genuine classroom education in our nation has taken on a deadly shade of red, and the quality of that education suffers, as does the future of our nation.
