So back on November 4, 2012, two days before the election, I tweeted the following:
To have any hope for Tue, GOPers have to ignore the data. Don't worry, they have plenty of practice doing that.
— @markos
Anyone reading Daily Kos knew that I was making
careful predictions based on sound data. And thanks to that data-driven analysis,
I was never worried about the outcome of the elections. And I mean
Never. Thus, the unskewers were never more than comic relief, an excuse to needle deluded conservatives at every opportunity. Like that tweet.
Yet it generated a response from Eric Cantor's pollster. I missed it at the time, but @kombiz brought it back to life this morning:
@markos when Romney wins will u fire PPP like u did Research2000? #markosskewshispolls Republicans coming out #howsyourearlyvote? Not2008
— @jmclghln
Let's all take a moment to savor that one for a moment.
This is a guy that Republicans candidates pay money to analyze numbers, and he's dumb as a rock! Kinda tells you why they've gotten shelled two cycles in a row, huh? Sort of explains how he could've gotten Cantor's number so, so, so, so wrong (45 points off!).
And by the way, a moment passed, and I admit it. I'm still savoring!
