Seven states are holding primaries or runoffs tonight. Our
guide to the key races can be found here. Oklahoma will hold a runoff on Aug. 26 in races where no candidate wins more than 50 percent tonight. We'll be bringing you tonight's results as they come in, and you can keep track of all the winners just below:
Results & Poll Closing Times (all times Eastern):
6:03 PM PT (David Nir): MS-Sen: Cochran leads 55-45 with 12% reporting, and so far, he's mostly improved on his primary night performance. He's getting stronger support in areas with a lot of black voters, who normally vote for Democrats but whom Cochran courted for this runoff.
6:04 PM PT (David Nir): Polls are now closed in New York. Lotta House primaries here to keep an eye on.
6:07 PM PT (David Nir): OK-Sen: James Lankford continues to kick ass. He's up 55-36 on T.W. Shannon with 29% reporting. If this holds, this'll be a race that none of the polling called.
6:08 PM PT (David Nir): CO-Gov: Polls are also now closed in Colorado, and unlike these other laggards we're dealing with tonight, they're already up to 19% reporting out west, according to the AP. Bob Beauprez leads with 33, while Scott Gessler's at 25 and Tom Tancredo 24. Mike Kopp is back at 18.
6:10 PM PT (David Nir): CO-05: And here's one to keep a close eye on: They've already counted half the votes in the GOP primary, and Rep. Doug Lamborn is clinging to a 51-49 lead on Bentley Rayburn. Wonder if another incumbent might go down tonight.
6:14 PM PT (David Nir): MS-Sen: With 27% reporting, Cochran's maintaining his 55-45 lead.
OK-Sen: Lankford is really crushing. 42% reporting and he's ahead 55-36, pretty much where he's been all night.
6:17 PM PT (David Nir): CO-04: Ken Buck is looking good in the race for Rep. Cory Gardner's open seat. With 10% reporting, he leads with 45%, while Steve Laffey and Scott Renfroe are both at 21. Buck and Gardner, you'll recall, engineered a backroom switcheroo, with Gardner moving up to the Senate race and Buck dropping down to Gardner's House seat.
6:19 PM PT (David Nir): MD-Gov: The AP has called the Democratic primary for Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown, who currently has a 58-21 lead on AG Doug Gansler, with Del. Heather Mizeur at 19. Brown will be the heavy favorite in November, where he'll likely face businessman Larry Hogan, who currently leads on the GOP side.
6:23 PM PT (David Nir): OK-05: With 29% reporting, it's a dogfight for Lankford's House seat, with Steve Russell at 26 and Patrice Douglas at 25. The rest of the field is pretty far back, so if things hold, they'll head to a runoff.
6:25 PM PT (David Nir): CO-Gov: Even though Tancredo himself said he'd all but given up, Beauprez now has just a 30-28 lead with 41% reporting.
6:27 PM PT (David Nir): The liveblog continues here.
