I'm not admitting that I took acid (LSD) back in the late 1960s or early 1970s at least once or twice (maybe more). But if I did, here are some songs that I might have listened to and enjoyed:
"Riders on the Storm" by the Doors. The piano part at the beginning blows me away. I love that arpeggio. And I love the sound of the rain storm.
Another song from the old days (by Frank Zappa, who was a huge fucking genius), is "Absolutely Free." Which is pretty interesting to listen to if you're sober, too.
Next is Pink Floyd's "Set The Controls for the Heart of the Sun." Ten minutes long, so it might be less interesting if you're not tripping, but I assure you that it's fascinating if you've just dropped some Owsley acid or something similar, like magic mushrooms or mescaline.
OK, next is a psychedelic 1960s song, "Pictures of Matchstick Men" by The Status Quo. A later version was performed by Camper Van Beethoven. Listen to to the words and the squeaky guitar.
Finally, here's a song that might be controversial, "Journey to the Center of the Mind," by The Amboy Dukes. I like this song, but it's Ted Nugent playing guitar and singing. He turned into an NRA gun-toting asshole so I shouldn't like him. But here's the song:
