I'm pretty sure the Nazis were the ones trying to "stop an invasion" during the real Operation Normandy, but what do I know?
The merciless army of children is bearing down on our border, but thankfully 3,500 of the tea party militia crazies are here to stop them! "D-Day" (Yes, they actually call it that.) is set for May 1, 2015 so they may in fact have enough time to gather all the crazy people together for this.
From their website:
If you are familiar with the Normandy invasion of France in 1944, then you have an idea how large and logistically complicated this event will be. However, there is one difference. We are not going to the border to invade anyone. We are going there to stop an invasion.
I don't see the difference. Last time I checked the Nazis were trying to "stop an invasion" on June 6, 1944 and you are certainly casting yourselves in the role of the Nazis here.
This is one of those days where I think that surely I had found my way onto The Onion because this cannot be real. Sadly, this is the world we live in. If nothing else we can laugh at the far-right's apparent embrace of the fascist label.
