Good evening. This is a Shameless Self-Promotion diary. Should you eschew such things, probably best to split now. No hard feelings.
Due to a couple of serious computer crashes and rather trying personal issues, it's been an unprecedented 2+ months since I've published a video, either political ad or music vid. Got fed up today and figured a hack-around to enable my little 1-gig I-think-I-can old laptop to edit video and cranked out a little doodad on a song from the new record.
It's a simple little piece, sweet and inevitably bittersweet, about young dreams and what comes after, made beautiful by the contributions of my friends DRobert on bass and Bart Ramsey on accordion, without whom this song wouldn't have been more than a shadow of the lovely presentation it has become.
The video stock comes entirely from a promotional film made in 1969 by the Cotton Producers Association, from the Prelinger Archives, available at archive.org.
A gentle bit of shameless self-promotion for you of a Friday night. Hope you enjoy.
As always, a direct link to the video is provided.
