Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

I confess that I'm a little frustrated. I estimate that there may be as many as 1,000 active Kossacks within a reasonable distance of Downtown L.A. But the most that got together for a meeting was about 50 or 0.5% based on my math.
I know, Los Angeles is a tough town to move around. I know we have all sorts of commitments. I know we lead complicated lives in this tough town. But, at least once you have to make it. So think about it.
The objective this time is to have a good time while we brainstorm some action that we can do together to make a difference. Heck, we'll even have a whiteboard to do a proper brainstorm.
Yes, we had great speakers in the past and we'll have them again in the future. Last meeting, also at The Guild, we had Vyan, MB and navajo speaking. We normally meet at Casey's but during football season we meet at 2PM at The Guild at 611 7th Street. This is a fine restaurant/bar that we can have for ourselves from 2 to 5 if we can get 20 people to show up. Not too far from the Red Line and with plenty of affordable parking nearby. So far 11 Kossacks have RSVPed.
The idea is to act (Connect, Unite and Act, right?)
At least, if you can't make it, feel free to suggest what we can do together to make a difference before the November midterm.
Support a candidate? Protest something? Feed poor children? Stop fracking? Increase minimum wage? We are very open minded. We can even use a decision matrix to choose the action. This is a brainstorming framework that works.
So come and join the regular crowd, make new friends, speak up and let's make Greater Los Angeles a better place.
Please RSVP to susans.
