Poor, poor Chris Christie. Betrayed by his aides and cronies at every turn. His office
* closed two lanes to the GW Bridge, stranding commuters, plus little kids on the way to the first day of school;
* reportedly tried to extort development favors in exchange for federal Sandy funds;
* reportedly tried to ram an oil pipeline a natural gas pipeline through the environmentally sensitive Pine Barrens by improperly forcing one of the commission voting on it to recuse himself;
* reportedly got a local prosecutor fired when he indicted a Christie crony.
And what is the answer to this terrible problem? Get a new staff! Yep, the New York Times reports that Chris Christie's backers are asking him to get a new team, to replace the current people who unaccountably keep trying to bully mayors, commuters, schoolchildren, environmental commissions and prosecutors. Poor Chris Christie is the victim of all this. He needs to "recruit a more nationally savvy political team that can take him beyond Trenton to Washington."
Nothing below the squiggle except your tears in comments, as we all mourn the tragedy of Christie's betrayal by the staff that he hired.
