In order to lighten the schedule, February 2 is planned as an "Open Thread Night", so the current schedule looks like this:
February 2 - OPEN THREAD NIGHT
February 9 - diary by Kitsap River - working title:
WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH, THE TOUGH FALL OVER (balance problems)
February 16 - your diary here
February 23 - ditto
March 2 (the first Sunday in March) is also planned as an OPEN THREAD NIGHT - just getting together over a cuppa decaf (glass of wine?) to swap recipes, weather reports, the latest on kids & grandkids & parents & pets, battles with the system, victories, jokes, rages, nuisances, headaches, photos, crochet patterns, repair hints, links, chats, and generally checkin' in with each other. Never know when one person's experience in casual mention may shine a light on how to solve a problem of our own, or how very much we all really have in common. We do know how valuable can be the support of each other's friendship in tough moments.
And while we're at it, we'd all be ok with small diaries about any of those kinds of subjects too, wouldn't we? A diary doesn't always have to be longer than a paragraph or two, or bigger-scale than what's going on in our daily lives - we like all kinds, it seems, reading back through time in the diaries written over the years.
Post a comment or kosmail to Postmodernista's link in our logo-box (below) to let us know the topic of the paragraph or two you're bringing to the schedule as a diary, and what date to reserve for it ... and welcome!
KosAbility is a Sunday 4pm(Pacific time) community series by volunteer diarists, as a gathering for people living with disabilities, who love someone with a disability, or who want to know more about the issues. Our use of "disability" includes temporary as well as permanent conditions, from small, gnawing problems to major, life-threatening ones. Our use of "love someone" extends to beloved members of other species.
Our discussions are open threads in the context of this community. Feel free to comment on the diary topic, ask questions of the diarist or generally to everyone, share something you've learned, tell bad jokes, post photos, or rage about your situation. Our only rule is to be kind; trolls will be spayed or neutered. If you are interested in contributing a diary, contact series coordinator postmodernista.
