Pamena's report:
Major grats to Team Kaels for getting to 10/14 heroic this raid tier - it's a real accomplishment, particularly given all the changes the team has gone through over the last year, and the whole guild is so proud of them! Tied for 2nd on the server in 10 man raiding is terrific for our non-raid focused guild!
Last Thursday, Team RP didn't do anything, as Team Z was trying Garrosh on Thursday and Sunday both. Monday night was our scheduled 25 man attempt at heroic TOT, at Durumu, but we only had 17 people and after one pull, realized that was a no go. So everyone switched up toons and we did a flex, 3rd wing of Siege - thankfully, Hyunkel, Lynera and a few others maintained their main toons, so we had enough firepower to get thru the wing with little problem. The highlight was Snuffy ....."healing" on his resto druid who we are convinced he had not healed with since Wrath: "Mushrooms? uhhhh, they're not on my bar, wait a minute..." It was pretty hilarious. Tonight, we will host a flex continuing on from where Nina's left off Tuesday, and hope to get into wing 3 at least. And Monday we will go back to Siege on 25, this time starting on Thok, I believe.
My personal report is about Friday night - for some reason we've never been told, the Garrosh server (I think it was just us or at least mostly us) decided to go nuts Friday evening. People started randomly dc'ing, the mail was doing odd things, and when you'd get back in game after dc'ing, sometimes you would have moved back in time. It was so frustrating, Team Kaels couldn't raid at all that night. Thanael and I were doing our usual Ashes of Al'ar run in Tempest Keep - for those who are not familiar with this, Ashes is in my opinion the most beautiful mount in the game, a bright gold and pink bird, that I have wanted since I first laid eyes on it during Wrath, when Clarix (formerly in WL) used to sit on his hovering over the steps of the bank in Dalaran showing it off. It's a rare drop (1 or 2% chance) off of Kael'thas, the final boss in Tempest Keep. At our level, he's pretty soloable, but Thanael (who already has Ashes) is a good friend who takes me in there on Senta - takes about 8 minutes, mostly RP from Kael'thas who simply won't shut up. We have been doing this for almost a year, with no luck. Well, Thursday night, miracle of miracles, Ashes dropped when we killed Kael'thas!!! I was about delirious with excitement, which quickly turned to dismay - I rolled need, Than passed, the text in the chat box said I'd won it, but the token wasn't in my bags. Anyplace. I said in Mumble, it's not in my bags! To which Than said, that's not a funny joke. But alas, it was true, no pretty bird anywhere. So we took screen shots of the chat dialogue and I put in a ticket right away. And this is where Blizzard wins a customer's loyalty - when I opened my e-mail the next morning, they had responded to the ticket, and restored the mount, and it was waiting in my mailbox when I logged into the game. So yeah!!! I'd still like to know what caused our server problems, though.
And I'd like to give a big shout out to our Baelzebabe who has returned to the game after his usual 8-12 month hiatus! Woot!
