and as a die-hard liberal, i can't help but agree. it is.
instead of single payer health care, we got obamacare, a private insurance based health care system that still elevates the insurance companies over the public.
not one banker has been prosecuted for the damage they did to the economy and the country.
all across the country, people are losing the protection of unions.
taxes are too low, particularly for the 1% and up, who hold record amounts of wealth and property.
ammosexuals are taking their gun fetish to new heights. there is no need for all of these guns, which are the biggest health menace facing society.
monotheists are undermining the secular base that made this country strong and free. christians in particular are reaching new heights in imposing their views on everyone else.
global warming may have already reached the point of no return. still, the US wastes over $20 billion a year on subsidies for the oil companies who are supposedly the only "profitable" energy source, untold billions of dollars on the use of our military to secure our oil interests, particularly in oppressive regimes like UAE and saudi arabia. meanwhile, walmart and others are fighting to crush distributed solar power.
so yes, the country is going in the wrong direction. but i have never voted for any GOPer, didn't yesterday, and never will.
