Open-Carry-Demonstrators-Scare-Fort-Worth-Employees
Open carry firearm demonstrators are complaining that police treated them like criminals Thursday night as the group staged a protest with their guns.
An email from Sgt. Ray Bush, with the Fort Worth Police Department, said Jack in the Box employees at the South Freeway location on Sycamore School Road, were scared about the armed men protesting outside of the restaurant.
They locked themselves inside a freezer for protection out of fear the rifle-carrying men would rob them, the email stated. The demonstration had no signage that would have alerted anyone to their real purpose, and to our knowledge they did not attempt to contact anyone in the Fort Worth Police Department to advise us prior to the demonstration.
Fort Worth police responded to the situation as if it was a robbery.
In this instance, no shots were fired, no one was killed, injured or arrested. Police gave freindly advise on how to handle "future demonstrations" which the group followed stopping future police response.

Man Shot Dead by Police in Wal-Mart, Picked Up a Toy Gun.
A man shot dead by police in a U.S. supermarket was killed while facing away from officers after he had picked up a toy gun, according to surveillance footage seen by his family and attorney.
John Crawford was gunned down on August 5 at a Walmart store in Beavercreek, Ohio, after a shopper contacted police to report that he was waving an A5-15 rifle at customers, including children.
But footage of the 22-year-old proves he was in fact holding an unpackaged MK-177 BB rifle he had picked up in the store's toy department.
In this instance, police shot and killed John Crawford seconds after confronting him.

NRA Criticizes Texas Gun Rights Open Carry Tactics
The National Rifle Association, an organization known for its relentless and aggressive pursuit of gun rights, has astounded observers by making a very unusual attack on its own people fellow campaigners for the unfettered right to carry arms.
The NRA has incurred the wrath of radical gun rights advocates in Texas by accusing them of adopting tactics that are so extreme they come across as scary and weird. In a statement posted on the website of its policy arm, NRA-ILA, the country leading gun rights group slams Open Carry Texas members for their recent stunts in which they walk into commercial premises such as restaurants and cafes visibly bearing rifles and shotguns.
"Let's not mince words", the NRA said, "not only is it rare, it's downright weird and certainly not a practical way to go normally about your business while being prepared to defend yourself. To those who are not acquainted with the dubious practice of using public displays of firearms as a means to draw attention to oneself or one's cause, it can be downright scary.
Open-Carry Texas responded to this outrageous criticism by accusing the NRA of "having lost its relevance and sided with gun control extremists" and tearing up their NRA cards.

Questions Rise as Police Investigate 12 Year Olds Deadly Shooting
12-year-old Tamir was shot Saturday afternoon by a Cleveland police officer responding to a 911 call that someone was waving around a gun at the Cudell Recreation Center. From the 911 call: "It's probably fake, but you know what, it's scaring the expletive out of people."
From the 911 call: "He's right there by the youth center and he keeps pulling it in and out of his pants. I don't know if it's real or not."
Police say when officers arrived, they located Rice and advised him to raise his hands. However, the boy did not comply with the officers' orders and reached to his waistband. That's when, according to police, they fired two shots.
Finally; a chronology of names from the election of Barack Obama and the onset of "Post-Racial" America.
