Rolling Stone magazine told the story of a lady who accused frat members of raping her.
In certain forums, the alleged victim has been referred to as "the victim" and the alleged rape is being simply referred to as "rape".
Of course, it is also possible that rape did occur; however, we should wait until an investigation (which is underway) has been conducted.
Yesterday the Washington Post took issue with the fact that the author of the Rolling Stone story on the alleged rape did not get in touch with the accused.
Bloomberg has a similar piece.
It is possible that the UVA story is a hoax. Accusers have made stories up in the past and this should be taken into consideration.
The word "alleged" and "accused" do not make for good linkbait, but using them is the right thing to do.
