Obama's low approval ratings have been gleefully reported by conservative media since his decline in Summer 2013. But is that about to come to an end?
I ask this question because the three most recent approval rating polls from CNN, Gallup, and Rasmussen all show a significant change in Obama's approval: It's going up, and fast. Conservatives have been eagerly awaiting their revenge moment for Bush's unpopularity. But that appears to be slipping away from them as Obama's recent executive actions have created a new image of the President. Once weak and irrelevant, he's now a force in Washington capable of circumventing the opposition and creating a legacy on his own.
The fact that this is apparently resulting in approval from Americans will leave conservatives baffled. We aren't out of the woods yet, of course. Americans are fickle, and it's possible that all three of these pollsters are just wrong. However, my gut is telling me that Obama's darkest days are ending, and conservatives will once again be gritting their teeth and banging their head against the wall wondering just why a Democratic President is popular when they've had a perfect storm to destroy him. Indeed, I think Obama may be the next Clinton in that regard.
What are your thoughts on these polls? Significant? Worthless?
