The irony of American workers voting down union representation at the Volkswagen plant is powerful. Volkswagen, a German company, is headquartered in the nation of the National Socialist Movement. Theses guys perfected socialism and frankly, they are kicking our asses economically, morally and socially. This is largely true because of the work councils that auto workers wanted in Tennessee.
VW came to the American south for one reason: to exploit cheap, unrepresented labor. The management must be shaking their heads in gleeful disbelief. If they had a different reason to set up shop in Tennessee, then they (VW), has a lot of explaining to do.
Europeans are so far ahead of the average American that it is embarrassing. If Senator Corker interfered with union organizing in Europe like he did in Tennessee, he would be dragged to the guiottine. Amazingly, VW wants the work councils and are fine with unions, but the workers voted against this. It is always the case that workers want unions more than companies do - not in this ignorant country.
Coinciding with the greatest income disparity in nearly a century, American workers still cannot figure out how to fix it. How about more unions and government? Let them eat cake, I guess.
Stupidity may be the last thing made in America.
