A parade and ceramony was held in Seattle on Wednesday. It was to honor our Superbowl
winners, the Seattle Seahawks. What makes this unique is the fact that 700,000 people
were there. That number has to put this crowd among the biggest anywhere.
All were there with one voice, honor our team.
I smiled as I watched and my mind started to dream. What issue would it take to get
this many people to join us and speak with one voice? Hunger?Healthcare?the fact
that our roads and bridges are following apart? how about clean water in America? What
is going on in West Virginia is a huge disaster. Rivers are filled with poison, schools are
shut down. People are getting sick. Maybe THAT would anger people.
All around town,I see flags on cars and trucks with football logo, clothes with football
logo. People are happy.
Dream for a day when 700,000 will march not for a sports team, but for a better America.
I want to buy a sweator that says "I helped make America better."
People have to show our passion for the World around them. What would have happened if each person brought ten dollars with them for chairty. 700,000 times ten dollars would go along way to help feed people or help with so many causes.
I hope someday,700,0000 people will be willing to march in a cold February day for
something more significantt than to honor a sports team.
