Much buzz today about The Fawning in Las Vegas. Makes you feel like a frog that realized the water was too hot and jumped out. It is too mild to describe this disgraceful behavior of politicians as Adelson ass-kissing. It births a new term AAL--avid ass-licking. Sorry for the visual, but nothing is going to cut through the shit that this is. A parody of America, suitably situated in Las Vegas which is also a parody of America. (Why bother visiting NYC, when there's a faux NYC in LV?!)
Honestly, the most striking anti-aesthetic experience I ever had in my one and only trip to Las Vegas was entering Caesars Palace. You really can't get more End-Of-Empire as that place.
Earlier in the week, I saw a newsbit about Hillary and Jeb gettin' together on the subject of education.
"When people around the world have access to this kind of American model of education it illustrates ... that we believe in spreading opportunity to more people, in more places, so that they too have the chance to live up to their own God-given potential," Clinton said at the Dallas event. She's worried, she added, "that we're closing the doors to higher education in our own country so this great model that we've had that has meant so much to so many is becoming further and further away from too many.".
She thanked Bush at the start of her speech, citing his focus on education and his "passion and dedication" to the issue in the private sector.
Bush spoke briefly at the start of the conference.
"Higher education in America has a growing affordability problem while billions in the developing world struggle with accessibility. Exporting U.S. post-secondary education and global consumers at scale can help really resolve both issues simultaneously," Bush said. "Expanding access through technology can bring down the cost of delivery at home and abroad."

That great model of American education is being usurped by a coalition of Those
Who Know Better Than Us, which includes the Clintons, the Bushes, The Rahm Emanuels, and yeah, Obama and Arne Duncan. Not to mention Bill Gates.
Public Education and Public Libraries made America pretty fucking great at one time. I often consider, if I had to purchase every book I have read, I would not be the person I am today.
Both Bush and Clinton are hot on the bandwagon to structure education under the business model.
"Exporting U.S. post-secondary education and global consumers at scale ..
Let us not forget Barbara Bush's sympathetic contribution in the aftermath of Katrina (The Bush-Clinton fund, mind you) of Neil Bush's educational software.

Does anyone believe that either Jeb or Hill will not continue upon the global corporatization path?
I noticed that Jeb didn't abase himself in the fawn-out, but had a private meeting with Adelson. Hillary has the "dignity" to get high paid speaking gigs to tell Wall Street they are misunderstood.
My son-in-law is a hedge fund manager, too.
The no-choice chips are being called in, whether vulgar or classy. I hate the smugness I see in the faces of Hillary and Jeb. I see the spectre of bi-partisanship that Obama insisted upon to his detriment. And btw, the decision is already for Hillary, in case you considered voting like a matter of sticking a barbecue fork in your eye.
