Greetings!
and welcome one and all and all for one and tea for two and two for a dollar... to another blither bloated post by your fuzzy-headed host: Marko the Werelynx.
Actually, this is part one of a series of photo diaries about my recent trip to Poland. Or at least, it's a planned series of diaries. Because I'm off in the 3G wilderness, clacking this diary out on my trusty Windows XP netbook, I think I'll keep my blithering down to mere bite-sized portions.
This time a couple of weeks ago I was in Poland. I normally live in Prague, in the glorious liver of Europe-- the Czech Republic. Most of the Prophets already have heard that story, but let it suffice to say this time around that I married into the same Czech family that my father did and earlier this summer I went up north into Poland to attend the wedding of my brother-in-law in Warsaw. We decided to drive up a couple of days early and break up the nearly 8 hour drive with a stop in the countryside near the picturesque little town of Milicz. We didn't really have time for more than a quick peek around their famous church and a visit to the local tourist info center. The history of the town is convoluted and well worth at least a trip over to the Milicz Wiki page. I'd do the old copy and paste, but hey, if you're interested you'll want more than a taste of paste. And, to be honest, I'm absolutely sick of computers this week. So, without further blithering, I'd like to share a quick series of wonky snapshots and I'll save my sideshow slideshow prattle for the hovers.
Thanks for stopping by! This is an open thread.
