Take a look at what homegrown hatred looks like full stop. This disgusting comment was made by Barry Dile about a missing 16-year old girl from Tennessee. An outraged friend saw the post and shared it in a private Facebook group. For obvious and less obvious reasons, I decided to publish Dile's statement.
This kind of pure antipathy never ceases to amaze me. What kind of person would say this? And Pete Cruz's comment, with it's sexually passive-aggressive tone, was a bit hard to read, as well. Thankfully, we see human compassion in Sandy Murphy's response.
In addition to exposing Barry Dile's public racism and sadistic misogyny, this diary was mainly written with a hope that the story will be shared and the exposure will lead to Karla Santiago's whereabouts. She disappeared on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Her family says she was wearing tan pants the day she went missing.
If you think you have seen Karla, please report it to the Emergency Communications Center at (615) 862-8600.
Disturbingly, in the NewsChannel5 story, the police state there are no indications that Karla Santiago is in danger, or that there is foul play, or that she ran away - yet they've been searching for her for three days with helicopters and K-9s. She did not bring her cell-phone or any belongings with her, and she didn't return home. So yes, there are indications of danger, foul play, and she may be a runaway. Whatever the reason for her disappearance, my only hope is that Karla Santiago is found safe.
As for Barry 'Vile,' I want to go onto his Facebook page and tell him to rot in Hell. I won't, because I know it wouldn't be right, and I know, 'In this world, hate has never yet dispelled hate.'

According to The National Center For Missing Children, 1 in 7 missing children reported in 2013 were likely sex trafficking victims.
Special thanks to my anonymous friend in Tennessee who took and shared the screen shot.
