Washington has mail-in ballots, but for military families and US citizens living in foreign countries, they have an additional convenience. You can fill in your ballot online, download the ballot and declaration form, sign the declaration, scan the declaration and completed ballot, and email it in.
Washington doesn't have a senator up for election this year. I voted for Derek Kilmer, the Democratic incumbent in Washington's sixth district.
The number of ballot questions was lower than usual, and there were no initiatives from Tim Eyman this time. Has the paving lobby decided that Eyman wasn't giving them their money's worth? This voter says that anything on the ballot backed by Eyman is an automatic "no" vote.
The gun nuts have an initiative on the ballot, however; I-591, which says, "This measure would prohibit government agencies from confiscating guns or other firearms from citizens without due process, or from requiring background checks unless a uniform national standard is required." I voted "no" on this one.
P.S. Washington's "top two" primary arrangement wasn't a factor in any of the races on my ballot. However, I don't have a problem with this type of primary.
