Welcome to Wednesday Coffee Hour. Blue Jessamine is taking a much needed break so I am hostess this week. This is an open topic thread so help yourself to the goodies and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. I have been doing art all my life. Sometimes a picture will come to me and I'll work to get what is in mind on the computer screen. Some of my pictures have a story behind them. Here are some pictures with some background notes of how they cam to be.
Alien Sky was an early picture. I have always loved astronomy and frequently picture other worlds. This picture has sold very well.

Behind the Falls was inspired by a trip my late Dad and I took. We were on our way back down from college and stopped by Silver Creek Falls in Oregon and we were able to see through a waterfall.

Call of the Wild is my best selling picture. There is something about the pristine snow and the moon that calls to people with the wolf and civilization being in harmony.

Castles Made of Sand is from a
poem I wrote that my late father just loved.

Celestial Christmas was my card for this past Christmas. My grandnephew Tristen loved it and he suggested the asteroids for a garland.

Eagle Flight was done with my Mom in mind. She loved eagles and had several decorative pieces in the house of eagles.

End of Day celebrates my love for San Francisco. I really miss it but can't afford to live there now.

Falling Leaves was inspired by one of my favorite songs
Autumn Leaves.

Future Mining was a surprise for me. My Mom loved it and she was definitely not a fan of science fiction.

Gathering Moonlight is one of favorite pictures. The original version was the last one my Dad saw before he died and he loved it.
