After the 2014 elections, I held little hope for the NV legislature. Despite Gov Sandoval's less-than-TeaPer approach to governing, some real doozies were elected at the state level last fall.
So where do things stand now?
Dive in and see...
The good news is, as a local TV news station reports here this evening, also reported by a local paper's article here, that Nevada may continue to function within reasonable parameters:
Nevada lawmakers are introducing a number of bills aimed at limiting employment and pay discrimination.
Among these bills are calls for equal pay - for minority groups as well as women, and increased authorization for the Equal Rights Commission to tackle discriminatory business practices.
The best part is - parties on both sides of the political aisle sponsor them.
More in-depth information also available here. (With a side note from me that NV media need to take note: this report from the San Luis Obispo Tribune should set the standard for local reporting...)
