I don't bother reading the Times of Israel. As newspapers go, it's rather too right-wing for my taste. It isn't as harshly right-wing as some other Israeli publications, but a champion of the left it is not.
For a left-of-center Israeli newspaper, one has to go with Haaretz.
Nonetheless, I couldn't ignore this article when I came across it in the ToI. It has that catchy description of Netanyahu in it that good Americans love so much: Bullshit.
It seems that former Mossad Chief Meir Dagan watched Netanyahu's speech to a group of his followers Congress while in the company of a reporter for Israel's Channel 2 news. Dagan was in charge of Israel's intelligence agency, Mossad, for eight years. His reaction to Netanyahu's claims about Iran's nuclear program progress?
"Bullshit."
Follow the link to the article if you like. Most of the rest of the piece is Netanyahu's cronies in the right-wing Likud calling Dagan a liar and touting Netanyahu as one hell of a terrific guy - which we all know he isn't.
A fitting summary of the speech, isn't it?
"Bullshit."
I think it's perfect and it couldn't have come from a better source.
