In a Salon article today, Scott Walker compared Obama's Middle East diplomacy to the film "Trading Places".
I remember the movie in the 80s, Trading Places you know, with Dan Aykroyd and Eddie Murphy, it’s like Iran and Israel are trading places in the sequel. In the eyes of this president, our ally is supposed to be Israel. Our adversary has been historically Iran. And yet this administration completely does it the other way around. We need to call radical Islamic terrorism for what it is, and a commander-in-chief who’s willing to act.
I can't figure out what is more stupid, Walker's analogy or his failure to predict the analogy it would install in my head.
The film is the tale of two wealthy brothers who make a bet. One brother bets that he can take a "perfectly useless psychopath and turn him into an executive" while at the same time ruining a highly qualified individual who did absolutely nothing wrong to deserve the woe unto which he's befallen.
Only question is how much did Charles bet David that they could wreck Wisconsin? A dollar?
On April 7th Wisconsin holds it's Spring Elections. Please help turn the tide of Republican tyranny by telling your Wisconsin friends and family to VOTE NO on 2015 JR 2 a Constitutional Amendment aimed at usurping Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, and to VOTE FOR the re-election of Justice Ann Walsh Bradley.
If you would like to be of further assistance you can donate to Bradley for Justice or volunteer to help GOTV!
