If an oil family has a place to go,
as if the oil will run out soon,
does that help convince you
that the oil will run out soon?

Here is an article about the land purchase by the Bush family,
in October of 2006:
http://www.counterpunch.org/...
The news circulating the continent about plans to buy 98,840 acres of land in Chaco, Paraguay, near the Triple Frontier (Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay) is the talk of the town in these countries.
Fresh water is essential to survival,
so you need a place with plenty of it:
Argentinean Adolfo Perez Esquivel warned that the real war will be fought not for oil, but for water, and recalled that Acuifero Guaraní is one of the largest underground water reserves in South America, running beneath Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay (larger than Texas and California together).
"The southern U.S. states are already struggling with water shortages," asserted the 1980 Nobel Peace Prizewinner.
Here is another article about the Bush family land purchase:
http://www.thepowerhour.com/...
Russian Intelligence Analysts are reporting today that the American President’s daughter, Jenna Bush, has secured on behalf of her father, the American President, and the Bush Family, the purchase of nearly 100,000 acres of land in the South American Nation of Paraguay, and which is also confirmed by the Latin American News Service, and as we can read as reported in their article titled "Bush Buys Land in Northern Paraguay"
The Bush family has, apparently, established a network of powerful friends, in South America, going back many years:
The ties between the Bush Family Cartel and Paraguay predate the current American President and have their roots going back to his grandfather Prescott Bush, the top American financier for the German Nazi Regime.
These ties between South America and the Bush’s were further solidified during the 1970’s when the current American President’s father, George Bush Sr., was director of the American Central Intelligence Agency, and working with then US Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger, unleashed what was called ‘Operation Condor’ upon the South American Continent
I'll let you go to the link,
and read for yourself about
Operation Condor.
That's not the main point of this diary.
I'm simply pointing out,
just as rats run off a sinking ship,
those who can buy land far away,
a place where they can make a new home,
will do so,
if they are convinced
our system of irrigating crops
and shipping food to the stores
will soon collapse.
Here is a recent Daily Kos diary about fresh water
http://www.dailykos.com/...
If current usage trends don't change, the world will have only 60 percent of the water it needs in 2030, it said.
I keep writing that not enough oil
means not enough diesel fuel
for America's farmers,
means not enough food in America's food stores.
If America's farmers,
in coming decades,
do not have enough
water for crops,
and,
not enough diesel fuel,
that makes my prediction even more likely to come true.
Right?
