PerfectStormer's quilt
I have some very sad news. Our friend, Cedwyn, has an illness with a poor prognosis. She's been through a couple rounds of treatment and is now resting with family. Needless to say, the whole experience has been devastating for her and she has been shy about letting people know because when they ask questions, she finds it very upsetting. Please don't call her with questions -- just give her your love -- it is what she really needs to get through this. Tonight, we are going to put our focus on sending Cedwyn lots of love and support and visualizing her in the bloom of health. She has, at her core, that effervescent, vital energy that makes any gathering of which she is a part sparkle -- and no illness is going to change that. So let's make a quilt of bright colors and loving words for Cedwyn and celebrate this bright and beautiful woman. In this way, we can be a big help as she fights for her health.
UPDATE: We have 86 messages and are $15 ahead on donations, thank you!!
edgery's quilt
What is a community quilt? It is a quilt containing loving messages from you, transcribed by me in archival ink on muslin. My sister and I sew your words into something warm and wonderful, full of color and love. These quilts have a buzz to them and I swear it is from the loving words. Cedwyn will be able to keep all her friends close with her quilt. We'll be there for her, all the time.
winglion (my sister) with her quilt, made by Pam from Calif
It takes time and material to make one of these quilts -- and it is our small living. If you would like to contribute toward the cost of this quilt, here is a PayPal button -- or message me for an address if you prefer a check. If you prefer to use Square rather than PayPal, let me know...I can send an invoice through Square, as well. $15/message is suggested -- although many give more to cover messages for those who cannot afford to donate or who cannot give as much. All messages are welcome regardless of donation.
Betty really likes winglion's quilt. Could be she is getting some healing from it, herself...
Yasuragi's quilt top is done (and was blessed by Ojibwa this last Sunday, along with edgery's quilt and PerfectStormer's) but we need to replace a yin yang patch on it. Her quilt will be done soon. MrsBadger's quilt still needs messages and I will post another diary for her next week.
