According to USAToday, Mike Huckabee, the man who pals around with pedophile rocker Ted Nugent, "slammed" Barack and Michelle Obama for their parenting skills. Their unforgivable sin? Letting their kids meet Beyoncé.
Really, Huck? Do you want to lecture on parenting skills? Are your really going to compare Obama's teens with yours?
I should warn you that what follows is utterly disturbing. It recounts a horrible, despicable act of how Mike Huckabee's 18-year old son, David, killed a stray dog:
(Miller County, Arkansas) Two boy scout counselors, 17 year old Clayton Frady and 18 year old David litickabee [sic], the son of Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, have admitted to catching a stray dog during their summer session at Camp Pioneer in Hatfield, AR, and hanging the dog by his neck, slitting his throat and stoning him to death.
Stoning the poor thing because hanging and slitting his throat wasn't enough? I would be more than a little upset if my children did such a thing. But hey, it's not like they listen to black entertainers.
The story was covered by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in 1998 and by Newsweek in 2007 when Huckabee first ran for president. However, they left out the sick and depraved way the dog was killed.
Nine years after that horrible act, David was still getting into trouble. From Fox News, no less:
David Huckabee, a son of Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, was arrested at Little Rock's airport Thursday after a federal X-ray technician detected a loaded Glock pistol in his carry-on luggage.
What makes this story about David trying to sneak a loaded Glock onto a flight so bad is how he got off:
District Judge Lee Munson gave Huckabee a one-year suspended jail sentence and ordered him into 10 days of community service — which Huckabee can avoid by paying $100.
He got off very unjustifiably light, but at least that was something.
No charges were filed at all for the brutal slaying of the dog. You might say he got away with murder. According to the
Newsweek article, when an animal rights group sought records from the Arkansas state police, the request was denied. John Bailey, (then-police chief), stated that Huckabee's chief of staff and personal lawyer both
pressured him to write a letter officially denying the local prosecutor's request.
A good parent would not have attempted to shield his child from the consequences of his actions, even as he stood by him. Then again, good parents usually don't raise sociopaths.
Mike Huckabee's other spawn have had some issues as well, but I've made my point. None of Huckabee's children can hold a candle to the class and good behavior exhibited by Sasha and Malia, which is why it's so odd he decided to go after Obama's parenting skills.
One other thing that good parents do is roll their eyes when being given advice from bad parents.
