After getting hit by a car and presumed dead, a cat named Bart rises from his grave.
A neighbor found poor cat Bart lifeless on the roadside after a car accident. His mom, Mrs. Ellis Hutson, was devastated by the news and too distraught to bury him. Mrs. Hutson asked her neighbor to bury him.
Bart's owner, Ellis Hutson, told the Tampa Bay Times he "couldn't stand" to bury the animal and asked his neighbour Dave to dig him a shallow grave.
He did. But, reminiscent of the will to live scene of Uma Thurman from
Kill Bill Volume 2, five days later Bart crawled out of his shallow grave, then made his way to a neighbor and begged for food and help.
The neighbor, Dusty Albritton, knew Bart and heard that he died, so she couldn't believe the cat on her doorstep was Bart. But it was Bart and he was in bad shape. His distraught parents couldn't afford the medical treatment he needed urgently and sought help. Fortunately for Bart and his parents, the Humane Society of Tampa Bay stepped up and provided him with all the care required.
"At first it blew me away", Ms Albritton said. "All I knew was this cat was dead and 'Pet Sematary' is real," she added, referring to the horror film and book by US writer Stephen King.
A shocked but delighted Mr Hutson, discovering that vets' bills would be too expensive, took Bart to Tampa's Humane Society.
Unfortunately Bart lost an eye but he is resting and recovering, and has eight more lives left.

I am so happy for Bart and his parents. I wish them a long happy life together. And if you can please volunteer or donate to the HSTB or your local Humane Society or SPCA.
