There's a very easy solution to the House Speaker crisis. The House just has to act like legislatures in every other multi-party democracy and form a governing coalition! If they have a lick of sense (a major question, of course) the semi-sane Republicans who are willing to compromise on occasion need to enter into a coalition with the Democrats. Then they can freeze out the TeaBaggers, who can just rot without a speck of power until they're thrown out in the next election. Not only does this get the House back to being functional, it's the only possible salvation for the Republicans as a viable national party. If they can't purge themselves this way of the TeaBagger parasites they're going to be extinct after the elections next year, because they're going to lose the presidential race and now they've just about guaranteed losing both houses of Congress unless they do something dramatic and adult!
