An incredibly heroic sacrifice during last weeks terrorist attacks has largely gone unnoticed in the US, probably because it happened in Beirut and not Paris. Today the Washington Post covered the story of Adel Termos’s heroism in tackling the second suicide bomber shortly after the first of the killers set off his bomb.

Termos is survived by his wife and two children, Ali and Malak, one of whom was saved when Termos threw himself on the second bomber.
It’s a shame the US presidential candidates aren't talking about his heroism and the lives he saved instead of whether or not to close our borders to Syrian refugees.
