Though I have had the website for several years now, I am finally shutting it down. Its success has not been great, perhaps because I am not that great a writer. I suppose I started the website to air my frustrations and grievances with right-wing politics and to speak out about child hunger, gay rights issues, inequality and religion, along with other issues.
I have grown weary over politics and though I believe eventually progressive, liberal thought and enlightenment will prevail, it is frustrating to see the consistent vitriol and narrow-mindedness that holds so much sway in this country of ours. Then of course, Big Money seems to have seeped so deeply into our campaign system that I see the nation growing closer to an oligarchy instead of a democracy. That is all thanks to a right-leaning U.S. Supreme Court that has gone out of its way to protect corporations and the wealthy over the disenfranchised, the poor and those with little or no voice in our government, which at one time, was their only recourse or relief.
Alas, I have felt helpless and my voice only one in the many, wishing to be heard over the din of shouting uninformed gullible Fox News fans who cannot see their own hand before their face through the darkness of their own stubborn bigotry
I will still write occasionally on politics at my favorite website, DailyKos.com, so if anyone would like to still continue to follow me; that is where you can find me, where there is a lively and opinionated discussion from intelligent and enlightened voices consistently.
The website will close March 25, 2015.
For those few who have followed me faithfully through the years, thank you for your loyalty.
My Best Regards,
James Fidlerten/Larry Clement
