As I was researching my upcoming dog acquisition I have been reviewing videos of Rottis and Mastweilers and such, realizing how much I miss having a dog, and I came across the video, which is over the Great Orange Decoration.
I clicked on it and was just aghast at what I saw: the stuff of nightmares.
And no, I am not kidding.
The video has only a little 'gore' in it and you have to squint to even see it. The video is not about the gore, actually.
It's about how it happened.
It happened about 11 years ago: If you haven't seen this video before (someplace it was described as a famous video, but I had never seen it.) it will make you gasp.
It's truly the stuff of nightmares.
It all takes place in just seconds.
The video is 30-some seconds long and shows the attack in real time and in slow-motion.
People are riding a ELEPHANT through a field in India and a friggin TIGER attacks them.
The tiger appears to get shot but then just leaps off the ground, becomes AIRBORNE, mouth gaping open, paws and claws spread wide, and snags a man riding on the back of the elephant.
It is real and spectacular.
Enjoy.
Below is a longer video with interview and background: this incident is directly related to man encroaching in tiger habitat. India tries to provide sanctuaries for tigers but there may just not be enough to eat and this tiger went off it's sanctuary and was eating cattle and scaring people, so this expedition went out to tranquilize the tigers (there were reported to maybe be 2) and they were all lucky to survive. The injured man was described as recovering from his wounds.
.
And I can't let this go without observing something:
You can keep a tiger in your house but you can't have pot (in most states).
