Welcome to Sunday All Day Brunch. This is an open topic thread so help yourself to the goodies and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. I've always loved art. I have been doing it all my life. Mom kept my second grade report card where Mrs. Bluestein has put "Take a look at her art!" With early encouragement I have been able to work at my art and even sell some. When arthritis took away my ability to use a pen and paintbrush I turned to the computer. I have been a digital artist since 1998. In that time the computer and I have grown in our ability to create art. I have hundreds of pictures. Here are a few that have special meaning to me.
You can find prints of my artwork on my Fine Arts America account:
Before the Storm
Another thing I love to do is write and Princess Jasmine is a character in my new series. I also love cats of all sizes.
Crimson Skies
This picture combines several things I love oceans, sunset, and gas planets.
Electrifying
I love oceans and storms at sea. This picture was done when I was having a rough day of caregiving and I felt better after it was finished.
End of Day
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and I really miss San Francisco. I would love to live in a Victorian style house in San Francisco close to the ocean.
Foggy Mountain Dew
A friend loved this picture and said it reminds her of Ireland. Being half Irish I guess this is part of my soul.
Foreign Shores
This was a going away gift to close friends right before I moved from California to the Midwest.
Future Mining
This picture reminds me of my Mom. She normally liked things that were down to earth. She wasn't into science fiction or fantasy but she loved this picture.
Gaia
I did this picture because of my love for Mother Earth and the hope that we can save her from pollution.
Gathering Moonlight
This was from a fantasy short story. The original was the last picture my Dad saw before he passed away. He loved the story also. It has a large place in my heart.
I Dreamed a Dream
I majored in theater. I love musicals.
Les Miserables is one of my absolute favorite musicals and this song is one of my favorite songs.
Jupiter Rising
Sometimes I will see something that inspires me to do a picture. I had seen some drawings of how the planets would look if they were as close to us as our moon. I loved the way this one came out.
Lady of the Lake
I love the King Arthur legend. I gained great confidence as a digital artist when a Hugo award winning artist promoted this picture on her website.
Lights and Shadows
I had a very rough day at work and that night I was playing with various skies and suddenly this picture came together.
Morning Has Broken
It is just my favorite picture. I frequently look at this when I'm having a rough day.
On the Edge of a Dream
Sometimes when you least expect it art will just come along and blow you away.
