The President has to really be kidding us with this one:
Obama: "We don't see Chevy's or Ford's being driven in Tokyo and Seoul"...
He pointed to the various brands of Japanese-made cars filling the streets of Washington compared to a lack of GM, Chrysler and Ford vehicles in Tokyo.
That's right, Mr. President, but
we do see Buicks being driven in Peking and Shanghai, China-- because GM spent several billion dollars building auto manufacturing plants there. and they did this not long after we bailed out their dumb asses in 2008 with, how much was the loan from we the taxpayers?
Even if Japanese people wanted to buy American brand cars, those cars are not going to be built in the U.S. with U.S. labor. GM made this clear.
So please, let's stop the nonsense regarding the TPP "creating great jobs in the U.S."
