Results of the Republican primary election for the Virginia House of Delegates for the 29th District: Newcomer Chris Collins over incumbent Mark Berg.
Berg had, to everyone's shock, unseated longtime delegate Beverley Sherwood in 2013 by attacking her from the far right - even though Sherwood had repeatedly shifted right in an attempt to follow what she thought her district wanted.
Collins presented himself as a "sane conservative" (which IMHO is an oxymoron) and attacked Berg for his overall incompetence and do-nothing-ness.
He is not likely to be much improvement over Berg, since he too presents himself as "pro-life" (but not an extreme fetus fetishist), pro-gun, anti-tax, pro-bidness, and all the rest of the standard right-wing package.
For the record, he won without any assistance from me - I learned my lesson about meddling with lizard politics a few years ago.
