on earth and we are acting like wimps in what is fatuously called "nuclear negotiations" with Iran. Not only is mighty America being pushed around by Iran, we share our feebleness with other members of the P5+1: Britain, China, France, Germany and Russia. This mighty array of nations is pitted against autocratic Iran in a debate of whether Iran will have the capacity to unleash nuclear weapons in the Middle East or, by supplying this engine of devastation to a terrorist group, the United States. No resolution, no agreement on terms, just more talk including intelligence-insulting remarks by Secretary Kerry that he is "hopeful" and that "lots of hard work to be done".
The P5+1 has the leverage with sanctions to bring Iran into compliance with the international accord that it not have nuclear weapons, yet the negotiations drag on past deadline after deadline probably including the upcoming one on June 30. Critical issues like inspection and relaxation of sanctions are rejected by Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He says "no" and the P5+1 gives credence to his obstructionism with ongoing talks. The time and usefulness of talks is long past, the U.S. and its P5+1 allies must enforce the stand that Iran cannot have nuclear weapons. To let this rogue country have weapons that endanger the world cannot and must not be allowed to stand. We are long past diplomatic word games; a strong assertion of peaceful sanity must be enforced; we have sanctions, let's use them. Military intervention is the least desirable of actions to keep Iran from nuclear weapons, but it must be kept as an option.
