It's impossible to keep up with the constant stream of Scott Walker's deceit and falsehood. If it ain't his assault on open records laws, it's his wishful-thinking budget "surplus," or his signing right-to-work legislation after saying it wouldn't reach his desk, or the "drafting error" that sought to axe the Wisconsin Idea.
But this one rises above the general level of toxic sludge. Because those of us who were there know it to be a complete and total lie.
From Politifact Wisconsin. Headline: "100,000 pro-union protesters were shipped into Wisconsin, Scott Walker says":
Pitching his qualifications for president, Gov. Scott Walker often cites how he faced 100,000 protesters who fought unsuccessfully to stop Act 10, the 2011 collective bargaining reform law that led to his historic recall election.
But sometimes the Wisconsin Republican goes further -- suggesting that the throngs of pro-union demonstrators had been imported.
That's what happened July 27, 2015, when Fox News talk show host Neil Cavuto asked Walker what he thought about a commentary by syndicated Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank....
Walker began his response to Cavuto by saying:
"Well, in the end, I’m used to -- you know, you’ve been up to Wisconsin, you’ve seen it firsthand. The big-government special interests, the powerful special interests, the union bosses and others, they will stop at nothing, and all their supporters out there. They brought 100,000 protesters into our state to try and intimidate us, to back us down."
Politifact's call:
But there is no evidence to indicate that all or nearly all were from outside of Wisconsin. We rate Walker’s statement False.
I wish we could put that in boldface, 1000 pt font:
"We rate Walker’s statement False." But repeat the lie often enough to people outside Wisconsin, and they will come to believe it. And Walker will believe it himself, and will tell the lie with utter conviction and sincerity. Because he is a liar. Please narcissist Donald Trump, please mean old Chris Christie, please crazy Ted Cruz, please anyone with a microphone, say it loud and often:
SCOTT WALKER IS A LIAR.

We know the story in Wisconsin because we've suffered through more than four years with a Governor who easily and disturbingly cannot tell a straight story.
And he's coming to a primary near you.
