I have three days to raise $300 (£200) to help Aoife attend my citizenship ceremony. She has fibromyalgia and hemipelagic migraine and the 4 hour drive there, followed by several hours at the event, then 4 more hours drive home would be too much for her. And so I'm asking for help for a hotel the night before, to break up the ordeal over 2 days, maybe 3 if we're lucky.
We don't need a lot and would be eternally grateful if you can help, but we're not losing our place to live or our lives, so we understand fully if you'd rather help someone in true need. Thank you for considering my mission.

For anyone wondering why I'm becoming a dual American-Irish citizen, it's because the UK is moving increasingly away from the EU, separating immigrants from their families.
Aoife was born in Northern Ireland and so has dual British-Irish citizenship, thus the right through the EU retain her family with her through EEC. 5 years ago we started that process and the 15th of June of this year my application was accepted.
On the 17th of July, at a ceremony in Dublin, I will swear an oath of fidelity to Ireland and be granted Irish citizenship, never again to face the fear of deportation from my family! Thank you Irish Minister for Justice and Equality!
And thank you, Daily Kos, for your consideration. Please pitch in $1 or whatever you can, here: http://www.gofundme.com/... or send a gift through Paypal to diegoctcp@hotmail.com.
Thanks for taking the time to read my Diary :¬)
