According to the New York Daily News, Donald Trump will start serving jury duty on August 17th, 2015. The Donald says that he thinks that being a juror will be fun. He could have had lots more fun if he hadn't already skipped out on five previous summonses. Of course, that wasn't his fault. The stupid court system kept sending the summonses to a property he owned but didn't use as a home address. Never fear, he was caught and fined for his lackadaisical attitude. He was ordered to pay $250. No word on whether he paid or filed another personal bankruptcy.
And it should be even more fun for him since the Manhattan County Clerk, after negotiating with the Donald's attorneys, is allowing tRUMP to do jury duty next week after finding out that that week would be a convenient time for Donald to do it.
More below the orange melting scale of justice.
It's hard to believe that Donald would get chosen as a juror. With his history of overt racism, I can't imagine an attorney not challenging him if the trial had to do with a person of color, whether he was a defendant, plaintiff or attorney. With tRump's history of misogyny, I think the same would hold if a woman were somehow involved in the courtroom. With his somewhat shady business practices, I wonder how he'd fair in a trial involving businesses or businessmen (we have a good idea how he feels about businesswomen.) I can think of several other examples where the Donald might get passed over because of his philosophies and beliefs.
He doesn't seem to be taking this very seriously. He acts like he's in a fraternity and this is some kind of frat prank. He thinks it will be fun - it isn't supposed to be about fun, Donald. Though it probably will be about the Donald. I don't doubt that he'll try to get publicity and airtime out of this as he does duty for society. By serving on a jury, I'm sure that he'll be helping to make America great again.
It kind of creeps me out that he may actually get to vote in a jury trial. If he IS chosen, my wish would be that they video the jury selection and trial so that we can see tRUMP in action.
Oh, and the ever-bumbling Donald doesn't even know where he's supposed to show up on Monday. Are we taking this seriously, Donald? I'm sure that he'll find an Apprentice to ferret out the location for him.
