Scott Adams, creator of the 'Dilbert' comic strip, has written an very interesting bog about the candidacy of Donald Trump. In it, Adams presents a rather sobering analysis for why he believes Trump will become our next president.

Even before having read Adams' blog, I've been gaining the unsettling feeling about the possibility of Trump becoming president. Say what we will about Trump, but I think that he has shown himself to be a master at campaign politics. The ability of a multi-billionaire elitist to effectively position himself as the working man's populist is, I think, an enoumous testament to his political abilities. Perhaps, Trump will stumble badly once he publishes his detailed policy statements, however, I won't be holding my breath. Not for any details, nor for Trump stumbling regardless of detail.
Watch Trump continue craftily moving to the left on social matters, as Adams points out, as he gains increasing confidence that he has captured the right. Such a move started with women's health and nailing Jeb on the Iraq war. Even as Trump does move left, the GOP base will continue to love him because they are not actually conservative, they are radicalized revolutionaries. We all had better start taking Trump's candidacy VERY seriously.
