Monday! I got nuttin' except some nonsense.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group gives Kossacks a safe place to check in, a daily diary where we can let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, earthquakes, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It also allows us to find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, earthquakes etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a Kosmail and ask to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!
We do have a diary schedule. But, when you are ready to write that diary, either post in thread or send FloridaSNMOM a Kosmail with the date. If you need someone to fill in, ditto. FloridaSNMOM is here on and off through the day usually from around 9:30 or 10 am eastern to around 11 pm eastern.

I went and saw Billy Crosby play at Buckskin's this afternoon with my friend Beth. The plan for this evening was to make seared ahi while Jim took apart the broken grill and cleaned it, but his friend Dan wanted to double-date with us and my friend Lynn. So I find myself hastily typing before Jim gets here to pick me up. My plans for writing an erudite and carefully crafted diary, full of deep and ponderous thoughts, have therefore gone out the proverbial window. Oh well. My apologies.
I had to tie my dress in the back with a shoelace. It's a good thing that I have very long, thick hair. Although it does look rather lumpy over the shoelace and Jim may think that I have a weirdly lumpy back. But there are some things that one just has to accept calmly. The alternative is an extremely low-cut dress, and the world, errr, Jim, is just is not ready for that :) The dress is also too long, even though I am tall AND wearing four-inch heels. It may have been created for giantesses or possibly be a factory reject. Who knows. It's blue and white tie-dye, floor length. Or maybe it has a train.
It is a little weird but definitely fun to be dating :) Weird, because I am middle-aged. Fahchrissake. How did this happen? Not the dating, my being middle-aged. I am still extremely immature in outlook :) And I don't look my age. Thank you, genetics and Clairol :) Also tequila, which may or may not be acting as an actual preservative :) Cheers!
Five minutes until Jim gets here :)
Happy Monday, everyone! I need to prepare a court case. I asked my attorney to withdraw. I ran out of patience and don't want to run out of money :( Luckily, many friends are lawyers, I can research anything, and I have the forces of good on my side.
PS: I haven't the foggiest idea when this diary will publish. I put in 09:55. Fuck it. I give up.
