Just a short comment...
The big discussion of the past few days has been about birthright citizenship v. anchor babies. Even using the term birthright citizenship seems fraught with ...something or other. Then I realized why it was bothering me. Any other time you hear birthright, the next step in the argument is "entitled". As in entitled to a birthright (rather than having earned it "legitimately", whatever that means).
So let's try a new term on for size, Consitutional Citizenship. As in the immigrants came here based on the promises of the US Constitution, which all elected officials swear an oath to uphold.
