New Hampshire State Rep. Amanda Bouldin (Facebook, Twitter), who represents Manchester’s Ward 5, is a rising star who’s just made international news by standing up for women's rights against the hypocrisy of the GOP. Bouldin responded to a GOP bill that would criminalize women (but not men) who expose their nipples in a public place by Facebook-commenting “YES, all the sponsors are men. And Republicans. So much for ‘smaller government.’” GOP State Rep. Josh Moore (Facebook, Twitter) then added his comment: ““If it's a woman's natural inclination to pull her nipple out in public and you support that, than you should have no problem with a mans inclantion [sic] to stare at it and grab it. After all... It's ALL relative and natural, right?" And GOP State Rep. Al Baldasaro (Facebook, Twitter) followed up with "No disrespect, but your nipple would be the last one I would want to see ..." When another Facebook commenter opined that both Moore and Baldasaro should apologize for their statements, Baldasaro replied, “I am not a shamed [sic] of a dam [sic] thing, you sit there, hold your breath and wait for my apologie [sic]”.
Elected to her first term in November 2014, Amanda Bouldin has already sponsored two bills that have been signed into law. She thinks Bernie Sanders' policies are too conservative and she is probably the Democratic Party's strongest advocate for personal freedoms. In the words of John C. Maxwell, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way” - these words describe Amanda Bouldin perfectly!
